Welcome Yavapai College: Yavapai College and Northcentral University have formed an educational alliance to offer Yavapai College faculty, staff, and graduates the opportunity to earn a quality online bachelor’s, master’s, certificate or doctoral degree from Northcentral University at a preferred tuition rate that is 10% less than the current published tuition rate.

Tuition & Admissions

Undergraduate Admissions

Students interested in NCU’s undergraduate programs must submit proof of high school completion, such as a high school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor degree programs also require a transfer of at least 60 semester credits with a cumulative 2.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale from a regionally or nationally accredited institution, and fulfillment of all general education requirements prior to enrolling.

Graduate Admissions

Students applying at the master’s level must include a college transcript providing evidence of a conferred bachelor’s degree from a regionally or nationally accredited academic institution. Certain programs and specializations at the master's level have additional requirements for admissions. For example, application to the master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy program requires a current resume and additional documents, such as a licensure plan and list of clinical site possibilities in the applicant’s local area, licensure plan, and list of clinical site possibilities in the area of residence. Likewise the MEd with a specialization in PK-12 Principal Leadership program requires additional documentation for admission, including a copy of a current teaching certificate and a letter of recommendation from a current principal or superintendent,.

Students seeking admission into NCU’s doctoral programs in the Schools of Education and Business and Technology Management must hold a conferred master’s or doctoral degree from a nationally or regionally accredited academic institution. The School of Psychology offers three different options for entering the PhD in Psychology program depending on previous experience and education, including Direct Entry, Evaluation Track, and the Mental Health Policy and Practice Specialization Track. The PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy also has its own set of admissions requirements and entry options, including a conferred Master’s degree in a clinical training program.

Tuition

Northcentral University is committed to keeping its tuition rates competitive. We pride ourselves in being completely transparent when it comes to tuition and fees. Currently, items not directly related to your program, such as your cap and gown, transcript copies and books are not included in the Cost Per Course Rate and well as a one time $350 learning and management fee.
