Finance and Banking Specialization

The Master of Science in Cybersecurity (MSCY) with a specialization in Finance and Banking is a real-world focused cybersecurity program, designed and taught by highly knowledgeable and skilled industry experts. In this program, you will be exposed to the most current tools and methods used to protect critical information and assets for a financial organization. You’ll also be prepared for thought leadership through understanding ethical and legal standards for financial institutions, and cybersecurity’s relationship to all areas of a financial organization and its consumers. You’ll focus on high-demand areas in the field and will be well-versed in handling future threats to enable defense before suffering losses, rather than learning from losses in the finance and banking arenas. The program’s unique instructional focus addresses applied elements of cybersecurity structure and rules, as well as processes behind both areas, so you not only know how to use the tools, but also comprehend the “why” behind them. The first course introduces the breadth of cybersecurity using the CISSP CBK. The course can aid your preparation for the certificate, or current CISSP holders can receive credit for the first course, reducing the program down to nine courses (27 credits).
