Whether you decide to pursue further research in this area or wish to work with older adults and their families in different settings, the gerontology specialization is designed to provide you with the important theoretical and applied knowledge that will assist you in expanding your career in this area of psychology. You will learn about the many emotional and physical challenges of aging and the techniques and applications which may be used to enrich an older person’s life as well as help the whole family.
