Master of Arts in Teaching, Specialized in English Language Learning

This program is for those that already have alternative teacher certification and want to expand their skills as a professional educator. It is aligned with the standards of the Interstate Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (InTASC) and was designed to ensure that you graduate with a high level of proficiency in critical areas. This specialization will help you learn how to guide English language learners toward a greater level of understanding with the English language. You’ll also learn how to better communicate with speakers of other languages and techniques to help them gain a greater level of English proficiency.

Students seeking ESL/ESL certification should verify with appropriate state officials that this specialization meets applicable certification requirements.
