This specialization covers health and wellness education concepts that address how to create an optimal mind, body and spirit approach to health and wellness through research and practice. It is designed to prepare researchers and practitioners for leadership roles in higher education, preventive health care, community health care settings, wellness coaching, business and fitness industries, as well as government agencies. The corporate wellness specialization has an interdisciplinary focus and prepares you for careers in academics, research, and fitness and health promotion. Graduates may be educators, fitness professionals, military personnel, corporate health care providers, personal trainers, coaches, and those in the health and wellness or health care related industries. Your coursework provides you with an emphasis on health and wellness education research and a practical approach to the corporate industry dealing with worksite health promotion, public preventive health services, and current topics in corporate fitness and wellness.
