If you’re interested in becoming a strategic marketer, the Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration with a specialization in Strategic Marketing will help you develop the skills and the personal and professional growth required for effective practice in the field of business. The program prepares you to become a leader in a variety of business settings. In this specialization, you will examine global strategic management in emerging economies, prescribe global marketing channels of distribution for finished products, and evaluate the importance and methods of implementing change, as well as diagnose the impact of product differences across national cultures. You will also assess the future of the multinational organization in the global business market. This specialization provides an overview of marketing leadership, the core of business operations. You will learn not only the vocabulary of marketing and its guiding principles, but how to develop and implement change leadership methods in marketing strategy. This includes developing a fundamental understanding of marketing leadership as it pertains to proactively identifying market changes and thereby marketing opportunities. In light of this understanding, you will learn how to predictively and proactively create an appropriate segmentation and marketing mix strategy culminating in the ability to develop a marketing plan. The emphasis of this program is on current practices and research in advertising and promotion, focusing on consumer behavior theories. The aim is to examine advertising and promotion methods and the ethical practices of designing, developing, and implementing an integrated marketing communication program. Students will also evaluate the challenges and opportunities of advertising and promotion in a global environment.
