Homeland Security Specialization

The field of homeland security includes a range of professionals dedicated to security and law enforcement, public safety and emergency and disaster preparedness. Public administrators working within this field must also have a strong understanding of security, public policy and procedure. Those looking to forge a career related to homeland security administration can acquire the insight and knowledge they need with our Homeland Security specialization.

This specialization is designed to prepare professionals working within law enforcement, public safety and similar areas to take executive leadership positions related to homeland security. Students will cover a spectrum of critical topics including everything from management and budgetary rules to crisis management and terrorism. Additionally, students will complete a final project that demonstrates the competencies learned throughout their degree program.
