Robert Clegg, PhD, MPH, MCHES


Prior to coming to Northcentral University, Dr. Robert Clegg was an Associate Professor of Administrative Sciences in the College of Pharmacy at California Health Sciences University (CHSU). Previously, he was the Lead Faculty Area Chair (LFAC)/Certified Faculty Member for the College of Health Sciences/Nursing at the University of Phoenix – Central Valley Campus. Previous to his academic career, Dr. Clegg spent nearly a decade as the Risk Manager at a large acute care hospital in Fresno and proudly served in the United States Navy for nearly 10 years.

Academically, Dr. Clegg earned both his Bachelor of Science in Health Science and a Master of Public Health from Fresno State, and a Doctorate in Human Services with an emphasis in Healthcare Administration (graduation with distinction) from Capella University in Minneapolis, MN. Furthermore, he is a Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES) through the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc., and is a graduate of Leadership Fresno and the Dale Carnegie Leadership Institute.

Philanthropically, Dr. Clegg proudly volunteers much of his time on the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross – Central Valley Chapter and the California Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (CAHPERD), and serves on the Alumni and Volunteer Corporation, Inc., for Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity at Fresno State, as well as the Grand Council Deputy for Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, Inc., at CHSU.

Originally from the great state of Kansas, Dr. Clegg currently resides in the beautiful city of Clovis (“Gateway to the Sierras”) in Fresno County, California, where he enjoys riding his Harley-Davidson anytime, anywhere and everywhere possible and, depending on the season, snowboarding, boating at one of the many lakes in the area, playing softball, and trying to better his short game on the golf links.
