In this position, Dr. Collins identifies funding resources and grants, coordinates the preparation of the submission, and manages the academic side of grants and awards received. Becky is a longstanding member of our NCU community. She received her Ph.D. in 2012 and was awarded Dissertation of the Year and recognition as an NCU Distinguished Alumni during the 2013 graduation. She has served as an adjunct faculty member and dissertation chair within the School of Education since 2013.
Becky most recently served as a Director of Student Services/Prevention and Wellness at the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. During her time at the department, Becky lead a team which received and directed over $45 million in State and Federal programs and grant projects. She brings over 20 years of experience managing grant projects focused on supporting special education, school safety, education effectiveness, and culturally responsive educational practices.
