Eugene Wilkerson, Ph.D., SPHR, spent 15 years in the private sector working for a Fortune Top 50 organization, State Farm Insurance and Financial Services. The majority of his career was spent in Human Resources and Learning and Development. His academic journey began twelve years ago at Regis University. He was an Associate Professor, Academic Program Coordinator, Department Chair, Director of the Center for Workforce Ethics and Lifelong Learning, and most recently, Assistant Dean in the Anderson College of Business and Computing.
Eugene’s scholarly work is interdisciplinary. In 2019, he co-edited a book titled Regenerative Development: Urbanization, Climate Change, and the Common Good. He has served on the board of several nonprofit organizations, including Habitat for Humanity of Colorado, Pikes Peak United Way, and the Denver/Boulder Better Business Bureau.
Eugene is married to Dr. Rochelle L. Cason-Wilkerson, who is an Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. They reside in Aurora, Colorado, and have two children.
