Northcentral University (NCU) is pleased to announce the School of Business has attained the Accreditation Next Plus level recognition through a collaboration of the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) and The Baldridge Alliance for Performance Excellence.
The School of Business recently garnered the first tier of Accreditation Next, a three-tier review of performance excellence for organizations on the road to becoming “role model” programs through the Baldridge Performance Excellence Framework, a globally recognized quality management system.
Along with enhancing the benefits of accreditation based on global principles for quality higher education and aligning with frameworks used by role model organizations, Baldridge recognition is an acknowledgment that the university’s teaching processes align with the standards of excellence from similar organizations around the world.
In pursuing Accreditation Next Plus, one of the top goals of the School of Business was to model real-world business practices in the NCU community. Having achieved the Plus level, work is already under way to advance the School of Business to Platinum level recognition.
“Embracing the Baldrige framework has allowed us to build a stronger partnership with our professional accreditor while establishing industry-proven business practices within our daily work. We look forward to continuously improving as we further embed quality management practices into what we do” shared Dr. Tammi Cooper, Interim Dean, School of Business.
The ACBSP is a global business education accrediting body and the only organization to offer accreditation to all levels of collegiate business education degree programs, from associate to doctoral. Its Accreditation Next focuses on processes and results.
The ACBSP accreditation standards are on the leading edge of validation management practices and have been proven to work in high performing higher education institutions. It is unique among business accreditation associations in its explicit use of the Baldridge Framework of Performance Excellence as the foundation of its accreditation standards, and criteria and review process.
By earning Accreditation Next Plus, the School of Business has further solidified its commitment to focus on students, faculty and partners.
The School of Business offers students around the world the most relevant programs and specializations designed to give them the knowledge and skills needed to be effective leaders, problem solvers and critical thinkers. Bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programs are available in an online environment that promotes community engagement, real-life learning and fostering relationships with disciplinary professionals. An all-doctoral faculty provides a one-to-one, individualized student experience and a flexible approach to teaching and learning that is unlike any other.
