Over 600 students impacted by school closure have successfully transferred to Northcentral University to complete their degree programs.
Scottsdale, Ariz. (August 14, 2019) Earlier this year, nonprofit Northcentral University (NCU), which primarily serves working adults seeking master’s and doctoral degrees, demonstrated its commitment to helping students achieve their academic and career goals by providing unique transfer opportunities to students impacted by Argosy University’s abrupt closure.
NCU’s streamlined transfer process made it possible for many of these students to stay on track to graduate. This July, students transferred from Argosy to complete their degrees at NCU and proudly received their diplomas during the university’s graduation ceremony. To date, more than 30 of the 600 students who transferred to NCU have already successfully completed their degree program.
“I came to Northcentral University as a transfer student from Argosy University, and my transition was seamless,” said Anam Rafi, a business operations strategist and mother of three who recently graduated from Northcentral University with an MBA. “Northcentral University helped me tremendously throughout my journey in terms of evaluating my work, my strengths, my course grades, my skills, and placing me in the right direction.”
Rafi was one of five former Argosy students who participated in the July 27 NCU Commencement. For the former Argosy University students, NCU has provided a smooth transition for displaced students to continue their education immediately through its ongoing weekly class starts and degree programs offered 100 percent online.
“Northcentral University is an adult learning focused institution. We continue to look for new and innovative ways to use technology to prepare students to work in their communities to improve the human condition, said Dr. David Harpool, President of Northcentral University. “We congratulate all of our recent graduates and as the demand for graduate degrees continues to grow, we remain committed to providing innovative and accessible education opportunities to meet the needs of our students, their communities and their employers. We know our students have what it takes to contribute to a better life for them, their families and our world.”
Accredited by WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC), Northcentral University is a nonprofit affiliate of the private, nonprofit National University System. NCU offers nearly 50 flexible, fully online degree programs to serve a diverse population of students located around the globe (with no residency requirements), including working professionals, members of the military community, and international students.
