Overview of NCU

Founded in 1996, Northcentral University (NCU) is a regionally accredited, private, online and graduate-oriented University serving professionals globally. Northcentral University offers certificate programs as well as doctoral, master’s and bachelor’s degrees in business and technology management, education, psychology and marriage and family therapy. Each course is taught One-to-One by NCU’s 100% doctoral faculty, and there are no physical residency requirements. Northcentral University is regionally accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC).

The goal of accreditation is to ensure that education provided by institutions of higher education meets the quality standardsestablished by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. Regional accreditationis an institution-level accreditation status granted by one of six U.S. regional accrediting bodies. Programmatic or specialized accreditationapplies to specific programs or coursework within an institution and is often associated with professional organizations.

NCU is accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC).  Certain programmatic accreditation is granted to business programs in the School of Business and Technology Management as well the Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy program and the Master of Education program's PK-12 specializations.  For more detailed information about NCU's accreditation, visit:
