Overview of NCU

Founded in 1996, Northcentral University (NCU) is a regionally accredited, private, online and graduate-oriented University serving professionals globally. Northcentral University offers certificate programs as well as doctoral, master’s and bachelor’s degrees in business, technology, education, psychology,  marriage and family therapy, and health sciences. Each course is taught One-to-One by NCU’s 100% doctoral faculty, and there are no physical residency requirements. Northcentral University is regionally accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC).

The goal of accreditation is to ensure that education provided by institutions of higher education meets the quality standards established by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. Regional accreditation is an institution-level accreditation status granted by one of six U.S. regional accrediting bodies. Programmatic or specialized accreditation applies to specific programs or coursework within an institution and is often associated with professional organizations.
