Bachelor of Arts in Psychology
Northcentral University offers a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology degree program that will help you develop a basic understanding of human behavior and emotions while learning how psychological principles apply to a diverse, global society.
PURPOSE: Provide a degree program that meets the learning goals for psychology undergraduates as outlined by the American Psychology Association.
At Northcentral University, we respect you as a student and as a future professional. We’ve designed our program to help you achieve academically and develop specific skills that will enhance your capabilities as a professional in the field.
OUTCOMES: Throughout this program, you will grow as both an individual and a scholar through an applied experiential learning approach that encourages self-reflection and the application of psychological principles to current issues.
Our online bachelor’s program will provide you with an understanding of research and theory as it relates to psychology as you develop your ability to apply what you learn. You will examine real-life scenarios, major concepts and theoretical perspectives in psychology, and the difference between findings based on scientific reasoning and empirical evidence versus claims based on myths, stereotypes and fallacies.
See the NCU Course Catalog for student outcomes you will have obtained upon completion of this program.
ACHIEVEMENTS: The BA in Psychology provides excellent preparation for entry-level positions in a variety of industries, as well as for pursuing graduate study in a variety of fields, including, of course, psychology.
A bachelor’s degree can open doors to positions in many industries, as employers recognize that students who graduate with a degree in psychology have a broad knowledge of human behavior, as well as higher level thinking abilities. Thus, many bachelor-level psychology graduates find jobs in administrative support, public affairs, education, business, sales, service industries, health and biological sciences.
