Graduates from across the country and around the world will be honored at this year’s Commencement Ceremony at Tim’s Toyota Center in Prescott Valley, Arizona
Current and future leaders in the fields of Business, Education, Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy – from the United States and across the globe – will receive their diplomas during the Commencement Ceremony on June 9 from Northcentral University (www.ncu.edu). Northcentral educates professionals across the U.S. and in some 63 countries around the world, and this year’s Graduation ceremony will take place at Tim’s Toyota Center in Prescott Valley, Arizona.
“This day marks an incredible milestone in the academic journey of our graduates, who through dedication, sacrifice and hard work – and often, the support and understanding of family, friends and employers – have come to accept their advanced degrees,” remarked Dr. Clinton Gardner, President and Provost of Northcentral University. “All of us here at Northcentral are so proud of our students’ achievements, and we are honored to serve them as they become valuable contributors to their professions and communities at large.”
Christopher Gardner, the American entrepreneur, investor, stockbroker, motivational speaker, New York Times best‐selling author, and philanthropist whose rags‐to‐riches story inspired the movie The Pursuit of Happyness will deliver the commencement address at this year’s Northcentral University Commencement Ceremony. He will share how his hard work and tenaciousness transformed his life from homelessness to millionaire. The University will also honor Christopher Gardner with an honorary degree.
Northcentral will also present honorary degrees to Kenton Jones, Yavapai County Superior Court Judge, as well as Pocahontas (Poco) Gertler (“Little Dove”), author and civil rights leader. Northcentral University is also proud to honor a special graduate as this year’s Dissertation of the Year Award Winner: Dr. Milton Kabia. The PhD graduate in Northcentral’s School of Business and Technology Management, specializing in Computer and Information Security, won for his dissertation entitled “Contributions of Professional Certification and Information Technology Work Experience to Self‐Reported Job Performance.”
