Northcentral University Announces the Retirement of Richard Wirth, Vice President of Information Technology
"Rich has made an extraordinary contribution to Northcentral University over a relatively short period of time,” Dr. Gardner said today. "We shall miss his drive, commitment to excellence, and leadership in all areas of technology. On behalf of the entire University community, I thank him for his service and I wish him the very best in the future.”
In a career covering over forty years of service, Richard Wirth has held leadership positions in the U.S. Air Force, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, and Northcentral University. During his tenure at Northcentral University as Vice President of Information Technology, he managed the successful completion of numerous technology projects including the seamless relocation of the University’s technology infrastructure from its original facility on Whipple Street in Prescott to its current world headquarters in Prescott Valley in May 2007. He also provided leadership to efforts that established multiple locations to house the University’s technology, thus insuring the highest level of uninterrupted service efficiency.
"It has been my honor and privilege to work with the many dedicated and extremely talented people who contributed to the growth of Northcentral University,” Mr. Wirth said today. "I wish them and the University continued success.”
