The Homeland Security degree is a specialization of the bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programs under the
Center for Law Enforcement and Security (CLES)
The National Strategic Objectives for homeland security imperative, to "manage risk and allocate resources
judiciously," will require specific managerial skills. NCU's Homeland Security degree program is designed to help
Learners meet the needs of this new paradigm by preparing senior management of law enforcement, public safety,
emergency medical care and disaster preparedness agencies, and private companies for positions of executive
leadership in the general field of homeland security. Courses will span the spectrum of management, budgetary
rules, personnel and critical issues relating to crisis management and terrorism.
