Northcentral University partners with Eduventures
Prescott, Arizona—February 26, 2007 — Northcentral University (NCU), a leader in 100% online education, recently
hosted Eduventures, the leading information services company in the education market, as the two organizations partner
to develop research-based information that will help NCU better serve the needs of students worldwide.
NCU offers bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in a convenient and affordable 100% online format. The
university’s innovative approach to higher education includes an appreciation for sound methodologies in research.
Eduventures’ leadership in higher education research is a natural extension of NCU’s mission, leading the university
to join Eduventures’ Online Higher Education (OHE) Collaborative in 2006. The OHE Collaborative allows over 40 U.S.
colleges and universities to pool funds and conduct marketing research to better understand the emerging online
higher education marketplace.
Dr. Suzanne Greenwald visited NCU to meet with academic and administrative leaders. As Senior Member Advisor of
Eduventures’ Online Higher Education program, Greenwald facilitated discussions about research goals and an institutional
research agenda for 2007.
NCU uses marketing research to identify emerging professions where higher education degrees are important to success,
to study how to improve educational delivery modalities, and to identify best practices in higher education for serving
students in the online classroom.
Dr. Claudia Santin, President of NCU, commented on her satisfaction with the developing relationship between NCU
and Eduventures and pointed out that a number of Eduventures’ research reports have been helpful in NCU’s decision-making
processes.
Among Eduventures’ collaborative research reports recently completed and available only to members are “Expanding
Demand for Online Higher Education: Assessing Consumer Views & Experiences”; “Competing in Online Higher Education:
Positioning & Differentiation Strategies”; and “Online Higher Education Market Update Study.”
Eduventures is one of the foremost education consulting and research organizations. Founded in 1993 and based in
Boston, the company focuses exclusively on education and employs an outstanding team of researchers and analysts who
are frequently consulted and cited by publications covering education as well by the member institutions.
NCU plans to continue its collaboration with Eduventures by participating in their annual education conference and
OHE forums, as well as implementing the institutional research agenda.
