Dr. Lawrence Ness publishes paper in J.I.T.M.

Prescott, Ariz. Jan. 20, 2006 — Dr. Lawrence Ness, who earned his Ph.D. in Business Administration–Management at Northcentral University, has recently had a paper published in the Journal of Information Technology Management (JITM). The paper, titled, Assessing the Relationships among IT Flexibility, Strategic Alignment and IT Effectiveness: Study Overview and Findings, may be read in its entirety at http://jitm.ubalt.edu/XVI-2/article1.pdf.

JITM —website http://jitm.ubalt.edu/ — is a well regarded scholarly publication described as "a forum for the communication of solutions found by practitioners and academicians to the multifaceted problems associated with managing information and information technology as a corporate resource." It is a publication of the Association of Management at the Merrick School of Business/University of Baltimore.

Dr. Ness earned his Ph.D. in the field of Business Administration–Management at Northcentral University, where his dissertation focused on the relationships among IT flexibility, strategic alignment, and IT effectiveness.

Prior to that his studies led to a B.S. in Business Administration–Accounting at Cal State, and an M.B.A.–Management, also from Cal State. His interests in information technology (IT) and management lie in the strategy and practice of IT-related management methods, tools, and resources required for optimal IT effectiveness and strategic alignment with the business leading towards sustained competitive advantage.

Dr. Ness, who is currently a Director of IT Architecture as a Fortune 100 corporation, has been professionally involved in IT and business management for nearly 25 years. During this time he has earned the designation of Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and has remained active in the areas of IT theory and practice within his corporate IT management roles.

Dr. Ness also has been serving as an NCU mentor at graduate and undergraduate levels since 2003. He is passionate about mentoring learners and sharing his background and experiences to help achieve their academic and personal goals. His hobbies include spending time with family, mentoring and research, golf, bowling, and basketball.
