2008

Northcentral University's Hockey Game Night - Supporting Yavapai Big Brothers and Big Sisters

NCU Big Brothers and Big Sisters hockey night

February 23, 2008 NCU was the main sponsor of the Sundogs Hockey game supporting Yavapai Big Brothers and Big Sisters.

A little time makes a big difference in the life of a child. This community has hundreds of "waiting Littles" to be matched to a "BIG". NCU staff members took the opportunity to be matched with a waiting Little during this "BIG FOR A DAY" Event.


 

2007

Northcentral University Roadrunners – Softball Team

NCU had a great softball season. The Roadrunners made us proud.

Kinetic Sculpture Race

Northcentral University participated in the second annual Kinetic Sculpture race taking home two trophies. NCU staff designed, built, and decorated the NCU Roadrunner.

Northcentral University sponsors the World’s Oldest Rodeo

NCU in Frontier Days parade

Prescott is home of the World's Oldest Rodeo which draws spectators from around the world.

Northcentral proudly sponsored the event in 2007.

Prescott Valley Chamber of Commerce Mixer

2007 NCU hosted Prescott Valley Chamber of Commerce mixer

NCU hosted a Prescott Valley Chamber of Commerce mixer inviting local business to the newly constructed building, offering a venue for business owners to network and build stronger relationships.

NCU staff gave educational tours of the building.

 

 

 


Valley of Lights

NCU sponsored Valley of Lights event

Valley of Lights, presented by the Prescott Valley Chamber of Commerce and sponsored in part by Northcentral University, is a drive-thru light presentation that has played to rave reviews. Running from Thanksgiving evening to December 30, the free light show features more than 20 unique animated and artistic light displays spread over a one-mile drive through Prescott Valley’s Fain Park. The show involves more than 30 local businesses.


Additional Events

  • Northcentral University has been a main sponsor for the Town of Prescott Valley’s fireworks for three years running.
  • Many of NCU's staff volunteered to assist at the area's Special Olympics competitions.
  • NCU sponsors regular events for Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Yavapai County. Matching up "bigs" and "littles" for events hosted by NCU.
  • For five evenings in July of 2006 NCU rented a theater for the community to see the award-winning documentary "An Inconvenient Truth".
    Motivated by the film’s directive to take action to help reverse the global warming trend, Northcentral University made the film available to the community by offering free admission due to the message this film shares is one of extreme importance to our future and the community.
