President Clinton D. Gardner, Ph.D.

When Dr. Clinton Gardner headed off to his very first day of school, he didn’t think he would still be in school 25 years later. However, school has become his life’s work. Throughout his quarter-century tenure in education, Dr. Gardner has filled a series of roles, including those of student, teacher, board member, consultant and presently, Northcentral University  President.

"There is no field as rewarding as Education,” says President Gardner. "At Northcentral University, I am privileged to associate with Students of all ages and faculty mentors from around the world, all dedicated to self-motivated education.”

Dr. Gardner assumed the first of his roles as a Doctoral student at Michigan State University, where he studied Higher Education Administration. Michigan State University then gave him the opportunity to put his studies to practical use through a series of leadership positions. He later taught economics at Argosy University before assuming a five-year incumbency as its president.

"Having taught classes myself, I understand the value of having one-on-one time with a Student,” Dr. Gardner confides. "That is why I so strongly endorse the faculty mentored approach we have at Northcentral.”

Since joining the experienced leadership team at Northcentral University in 2007, Dr. Gardner has overseen the institution transition into becoming the first online university to offer accredited Doctorate degrees.

As Northcentral University prepares for the back-to-school season, Dr. Gardner expresses his continued mission for the online education provider:

"The promise that we make to our Students here at Northcentral University is to always provide them with a highly personalized education experience that is second to none,” Dr. Gardner says. "We will continue to perfect our existing programs while we expand into new areas of study and welcome new technology. There couldn’t be a better time to be a Northcentral University Student.”
